Giving to the Lord’s work at Faith Fellowship Church

PROVERBS 3:9:
“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”

Our church is financially dependent on God’s provisions. These provisions primarily come through the faithful gifts of the people who care about the ministry of this church.

Our church’s annual operating budget is approved by our congregation.

Designated gifts are welcome in our church. Special gifts can be designated for approved building projects, capital improvements, benevolence needs, missions, and ministries within our church. We ask the designated giving be “over and above” people’s regular giving so as not to hurt our general giving that takes care of our staff and ministries.

Contributions Statements will be sent to donors who provide their mailing address when making a donation. The Statement is a summary of your contributions to FFC during the year. As with all contributions and pledges, these statements are held in the strictest of confidence and are not seen by anyone other than our financial and church secretary, Tammy Cordray. If you have any questions about this contribution summary, a pledge or your giving history, please feel free to contact the church office directly at ffc@goffc.org.

GIVING OPTIONS

Faith Fellowship Church is pleased to offer several convenient giving methods. Consider taking advantage of one of these easy giving options as you tithe and contribute to the ministry of FFC:

Sunday Services – For your convenience, offering envelopes are available for donations to the General Fund as well as special offerings. Simply place cash or checks (payable to FFC) in one of these envelopes and put it in the offering plate or mail to:

Faith Fellowship Church
6734 Bridgetown Road
Cincinnati, OH 45248

Online Giving – FFC is pleased to offer online giving to you. While there are several ways to give electronically, including debit and credit cards, we strongly discourage the use of credit cards for ongoing giving. Proverbs 22:7 says “…the borrower is servant to the lender” and credit cards can cause many people to struggle financially. Since we cannot distinguish online whether a card is being used for debit or credit, we will allow the use of both. Thank you for your faithfulness and may God bless you.

We now offer two ways to give online.
1. Using a debit or credit card
2. Using a Paypal Account (current or new account)
3. Venmo (faithfellowship@goffc)

Q: Is is safe to give online?
A: Yes. In many ways giving online is safer than writing a check because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen. The security of the system is continually managed by Faith Fellowship.

WAYS TO GIVE

Cash & checks are the most common way donations are received by the church. Our church periodically sends out giving statements to ensure we are properly recording any gifts you have given.

Envelopes are provided for those interested. Any gifts received in these giving envelopes will be tracked for your benefit and sent out in the periodic statements. To receive envelopes, contact our financial secretary.

Year-end gifts, subject to IRS deadlines, must be received in the church office before midnight on December 31, or must be postmarked before the end of December to be deducted in the present tax year. The date written on a check will not determine in which tax year a gift is included. Only the actual date of receipt by the church or postmark will establish the correct year for the IRS.

Stocks & mutual funds can be transferred to the church. If this is done with securities that have been held for more than a year, the giver will be able to deduct the full fair market value of the securities and avoid paying any capital gain tax. If, however, the securities are sold first and then the proceeds are given to the church, the giver will still have to pay capital gain taxes to the IRS. A little planning in this area can help you take full advantage of the tax benefits allowed by the government.

Wills, Bequests & Estate Planning are ways to honor the Lord and support the work of the church after you pass on. This type of gift can also be helpful to appropriately avoid estate taxes. If you choose to include the church in your will or estate plan, please let your attorney know the church’s name and address. Further, please communicate to your attorney that the church is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Life Insurance policies can benefit the church. If the original purpose for a life insurance policy no longer exists, you can make the church the owner and beneficiary of the policy and receive a tax deduction. The deduction can be taken immediately and the amount of the contribution is typically the replacement value or cost basis of the policy.
